Challenge

Reed Mining Events contracted Heard PR to execute its PR strategy for AIMEX 2015, one of the world’s largest mining exhibitions in 2015. Held biannually, AIMEX has delivered the largest concentration of METS suppliers to Asia-Pacific’s mining industries for over 35 years.

Solution

Working within tight time constraints, Heard PR leveraged its extensive contacts to drive additional coverage and positive sentiment for AIMEX in an industry where widespread cost cutting was taking place. By focusing on efficiency and new partnerships, for example, a new multi-million dollar MOU between Australian and Indian authorities, Heard PR achieved a groundswell of coverage that assisted AIMEX organisers in achieving their goals.

Result

Heard PR secured more than 100 pieces of coverage from throughout the conference, a strong achievement in a subdued mining climate.
